Ellis Arnold
BU Student Intern Therapist
"My hope is that clients leave each session with a deeper understanding of themselves and with the skills needed to transform that knowledge into action. I engage with clients in a collaborative style, use an eclectic variety of evidence-based interventions, and draw from trauma-informed, queer-affirming, and anti-racist perspectives. I deeply believe that every person deserves an opportunity to engage in their own inner work, and that their growth not only creates change within themselves but ultimately is a key part of helping to build a more just, compassionate, and liberated community."
Ellis (they/them) is a trans and queer clinician in the final year of their master’s program at Boston University School of Social Work. They specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ youth and adults as they embark on journeys of self-discovery and authenticity, while also guiding parents, spouses, and families through their own related processes. Ellis welcomes the opportunity to work with clients from diverse backgrounds who seek to address concerns related to anxiety and mood disorders, heal from intergenerational and religious trauma, harness the strengths of neurodivergence (such as ADHD), and find balance after significant life events.
